    Description

1948 Hudson Courtesy Motors of Chicago,Illinois Dealership DEMONSTRATION MODEL.Courtesy Motors was the #1 selling Hudson Dealership in the World and was owned/managed by the famous Jim Moran "The Courtesy Man". Large and impressive in 1/16 scale (12 1/2" x 4 1/2" x 3 1/2") and built to be accurate within one thousandth of an inch. Two-tone Green in color. Hudson themselves made these models "in-house" (see the pictures from their Miniature Hudson Assembly Line!) and Hudson's Advertising & Marketing Management Department sent a limited quantity to each Hudson Dealership. This accurately scaled model of "The New Hudson" was produced to "INFLUENCE PEOPLE AND WIN FRIENDS" for Hudson Dealers. It was designed to be a "Dramatic Sales Tool for explaining the importance of the Step-Down Zone" and its important features exclusive to Hudson's new principle of design. These models were not sold at the dealerships or in stores. They were occasionally given to preferred buyers. The models were made with the front clip (hood, fenders and front bumper) to be removable in order to easily show the unique "Step Down Unit Body Construction" of the actual car.Beautifully detailed body, wheel covers, seats and dash (oddly no engine, transmission or steering wheel came with these models). The model is in very nice condition with slight play wear and roof warp. Very good tires & hubs. A true rarity! Don't miss out! Please ask questions before buying as all items are sold as-is,not returnable. Thank you for bidding/buying.
